ENGINEER ZC-28 is a neutral liquid rust remover designed for fast rust removal from metal parts and components. The formula contains no acid or alkali and reacts rapidly with rust, including on small components such as rusted screws. ENGINEER states that the liquid penetrates through very small gaps around contact surfaces and screw threads, reaching rust in difficult areas.
During the reaction, the liquid turns purple. On very small components, light rust can be removed in seconds. For severe rust, ENGINEER recommends first removing loose corrosion with a wire brush or abrasive material before applying the remover.
ZC-28 can be applied directly or used for immersion. For direct application, leave it for about 10 minutes; for immersion, the normal time is about 10 minutes and may extend up to 60 minutes.
