The ENGINEER NZ-22 machine screw cutter is a compact tool designed exclusively for cutting metric screws to the length you need, while keeping the thread usable. When you need a screw shorter than the one available, you cut it cleanly to the right size without ruining the thread: after cutting, the nut threads on smoothly, because the thread is cleaned as you unscrew it from the hole. No more filing and damaged threads!
It cuts M2, M2.6, M3 and M4 screws (and M2.5 screws can be cut using the M2.6 thread hole). It requires reduced grip force - about 70% less than conventional screw cutters - for an easy, clean cut. A built-in scale lets you quickly measure the desired screw length, directly on the tool.
The body is made of carbon steel, and the elastomer (TPR) grip provides a comfortable, durable hold. The compact format (142 mm, just 112 g) and the strap hole make the tool easy to carry and keep to hand. Ideal for electronics, model-making, assembly, repairs and precision work, wherever you need screws at an exact length.
The tool is made by ENGINEER, a Japanese manufacturer specialised in hand tools for technical and precision work. The NZ-22 covers the widest range in the series, from M2 to M4; for cutting from M2.6 upwards there is the NZ-21 model. Note: do not use stainless steel or high-hardness screws.
CAUTION! Do not cut stainless steel or high-hardness screws - the tool is intended for ordinary-steel metric screws (M2, M2.6, M3, M4). M2.5 screws are cut using the M2.6 thread hole. Use the hole matching the screw size.

Main features
Cut to length, with a usable thread
Cut the screw to the desired length; as you unscrew it from the hole the thread is cleaned, so the nut threads on smoothly after cutting.About 70% less grip force

A graduated scale on the tool body lets you quickly measure the desired screw length, right at the workplace.Compact and easy to carry
At just 142 mm and 112 g, with a strap hole, it is easy to carry and always to hand.Comfortable elastomer grip
The elastomer (TPR) grip provides a comfortable, durable hold for prolonged use.How it works
Choose the thread hole matching the screw size (M2, M2.6, M3 or M4). Thread the screw in up to the desired length (using the built-in scale as a reference), then squeeze the handles to cut it. Finally, unscrew the cut end from the hole: the thread is restored, and the shortened screw takes the nut with no problems.Technical specifications
