Short Screw Extractor Bits

18 mm ENGINEER extractor bits, for tight spaces

Short extractor bits are ENGINEER DBZ series bits, only 18 mm long, designed for extracting damaged-head screws in tight spaces, without hammer blows. They are part of the screw extractors and accessories category at Sanco Grup, are made in Japan and are recommended by the Romanian Association of Electricians (AREL).
The sharp spiral tip, with a fine pitch, grips the screw's hex socket without slipping. You press and twist to extract a worn-head screw. The length of just 18 mm makes them ideal for confined areas, where standard bits do not fit. They are made of high carbon steel and work with the ENGINEER DR-27 ratchet extractor or the DR-26 and DR-28 flex connectors (ordered separately).

Key features

Only 18 mm long

The super-short 18 mm bits allow work in tight spaces, where standard bits do not fit.

Spiral tip with fine pitch

The sharp spiral tip grips the damaged screw's hex socket firmly, without slipping, and allows extraction by pressing and twisting, without a hammer.

Various hex sockets

Available in hex socket sizes from 0.89 to 5 mm, for a wide range of hex screws.

Accessory compatibility

Works with the ENGINEER DR-27 ratchet extractor and the DR-26 or DR-28 flex connectors (ordered separately), for hard-to-reach areas.

Recommended applications

Tight spaces

Extracting damaged hex screws in confined areas, where other tools cannot reach.

Set screws

Extracting set screws broken with an L-type hex wrench.

Service and maintenance

Quick interventions in service, industrial maintenance and electrical installations.

Electronics and fine mechanics

Extracting small hex screws, in electronics and precision mechanics.

Usage note

The extractor bits are designed for screws made of ordinary, non-heat-treated steel. They are not recommended for hardened or heat-treated steel screws, which can damage the tip. For operation in tight spaces or hard-to-reach areas, the dedicated accessories (DR-27, DR-26, DR-28) are used, ordered separately.
