ENGINEER SS-08 IC Extractor for Extracting IC 8 to 42 pins is an integrated circuit chip extraction/insertion tool (chip/IC) made in Japan by a well-known and highly regarded precision hand tool manufacturer.

This useful, time-saving tool has a threaded wheel that, if necessary, can be tightened to lock the integrated circuit.

The extractor grasps integrated circuits with highly machined tips and lifts them upright without damaging other wiring on the circuit board.

Warning: Please check that the integrated circuit is completely detached from the system board before using the Engineer SS-08 Extractor!

To accurately collect solder residue, use the Engineer SS-02 or Engineer SS-01 desoldering pump.

How to use Engineer SS-08

1) Simply tighten the extractor to secure the IC.
2) Tighten the threaded wheel to lock the extractor.

The tips of the extractor are designed with great precision and work very well to insert or remove a connector mounted at a right angle on a very crowded motherboard (PCB).
