The ENGINEER PH-50 multi-purpose scissors is a cutting tool with a serrated blade, designed for difficult materials such as Kevlar (aramid) fibre, yet just as effective on a wide range of everyday materials. The unique 2-in-1 cutting blade combines a serrated blade with a U-shaped one: the serrated part prevents the object from slipping, for safe, precise cutting. It is made in Japan and is recommended by the Romanian Association of Electricians (AREL).

The PH-50 easily cuts paper, corrugated cardboard, Kevlar fibre, flat braided copper wire, aluminium sheet, leather, cork, polycarbonate, UTP cable, cotton-insulated cable, multi-core conductors, woody branches and packing tape. The blades are 55 mm long, and the micro-serrations along their full length, together with the high-tooth area, make cutting easier and firmer.

The compact body generates more shearing force, and the anti-pinch handles are designed for safe work. The blades are made of rust-resistant stainless steel, hardened to HRC54±2, and the handles are elastomer-coated for a secure, comfortable grip. You can hold the handle in several ways for greater shearing power.

At 170 mm long and just 58 g, the PH-50 is compact and light, recommended for professionals and demanding DIYers. It shouldn't be missing from any toolbox, at home or at work. For the 4-in-1 version, with a wire cutter and a sheath, see the PH-55 model.
