The ENGINEER PZ-22 screw extraction pliers (Screw Eater) is the 175 mm tool that removes the screws no screwdriver can undo any more: screws with a damaged, broken, rusted head or a stripped drive. The jaws have unique vertical teeth that grip the screw head securely, without slipping. Just grip and turn! It is made in Japan and is recommended by the Romanian Association of Electricians (AREL).
On an ordinary combination plier, the teeth are horizontal and meet tip to tip, so they slip and the screw stays stuck. On the PZ-22, the teeth are vertical and interlock (they meet in the recesses of the opposite jaw, not on the tips), for a much stronger grip. In addition, the jaw tips are bevelled on the outside, to easily grab the screw head even in tight spaces.
Thanks to the high leverage, less gripping force is needed, and the T-shaped forged handles, with a rubber sleeve, do not twist or slip during use. The PZ-22 securely holds even extremely thin plates, as well as thicker materials when the jaws are closed, and grips round screw heads from 3 to 11 mm in diameter.
The body is made entirely of carbon steel and weighs just 165 g, very light compared to a standard combination plier. Length 175 mm, width 51.8 mm, green handles easy to find in the toolbox. It is ideal for quickly removing rusted or damaged screws, as well as rivets, in car and motorcycle service, construction, installations, maintenance and DIY.
