The ENGINEER PZ-78 combination pliers is a 3-in-1 tool, 225 mm long, that brings together a damaged-screw extractor, a powerful cable cutter and a terminal-crimping area, in a single robust plier for intensive daily use. The jaws have vertical serrations for removing worn, rusted or stripped-head screws. It is made in Japan and is recommended by the Romanian Association of Electricians (AREL).
The jaws have two gripping zones: a section with vertical serrations (4 mm of the jaw width) that firmly grips the screw head, and a zone with interlocking horizontal teeth, to hold a plastic cable tie, a thin plate or even a sheet of paper. This way, the PZ-78 successfully removes screws with a stripped head, rusted, Torx or semi-recessed, from 3 to 9.5 mm in diameter.
The generous cutter cuts 3-core flat cable, copper wire up to Ø4 mm, steel wire up to Ø2 mm, hard wire up to Ø3.2 mm and 8 mm² insulated wires. In addition, it has a crimping area for 1.25-3.5 mm² terminals (AWG16-12). The eccentric handle shape provides high leverage, with 30% more cutting power than an ordinary universal plier.
The body is made entirely of carbon steel, with ergonomic T-section handles, coated with quality green elastomer, which reduce clamping effort. Length 225 mm, weight 350 g, jaw width 14 mm, with a bevelled tip for access in tight spaces.
