ENGINEER NS-06 ESD Micro Nippers are designed for precision PCB work and for cutting soft copper conductors and soft IC leads. The compact head and flush-cutting edges provide access to densely populated areas and allow cuts close to the work surface.
The TPR handles are ESD-safe, with surface resistivity of 1×10⁶–10⁷ Ω for work around electrostatic-sensitive components. A coiled spring supports repeated operation, while the opening-angle adjuster controls jaw travel.

Main features

Flush cut for precision electronics

ENGINEER recommends NS-06 for cutting copper conductors and soft IC leads with a cut close to the PCB or component.

Compact head for PCB work

The compact body fits comfortably in the palm and supports precise work on circuit boards and in densely populated areas.

ESD-safe handles

TPR handles have a surface resistivity of 1×10⁶–10⁷ Ω to help control electrostatic charge during electronics work. The tool is not insulated for live electrical work.

Adjustable opening and coiled spring

The opening-angle adjuster and coiled spring reduce unnecessary hand movement and support comfortable repetitive cutting.

Recommended applications

Printed circuit boards

Precision cutting of soft leads and conductors close to the PCB, including confined and densely populated areas.

IC leads and electronic components

ENGINEER recommends the flush-cutting edges for soft IC leads and fine electronics assembly or repair work.

Copper conductors

The current ENGINEER Global page specifies Ø1.2 mm solid copper wire and 1.25 mm² stranded copper wire.

Usage note

NS-06 is intended for soft conductors and precision work. Do not use it on hard wire or materials beyond the stated cutting capacity. ESD-safe handles control electrostatic charge but do not provide insulation for live electrical work.

Advantages

  • Flush-cutting edges for precise cuts close to the surface.
  • Compact head for PCB work.
  • ESD-safe TPR handles, 1×10⁶–10⁷ Ω.
  • Solid copper capacity up to Ø1.2 mm.
  • Stranded copper capacity up to 1.25 mm².
  • Coiled spring for repetitive work.
  • Adjustable opening angle.
  • Low weight: 58 g.

ENGINEER NS-06 is an ESD micro nipper for precision PCB work, copper conductors and soft IC leads. The current ENGINEER Global page specifies flush-cutting edges, 112 mm overall length, 50 mm handle width and 58 g weight. Cutting capacity is Ø1.2 mm for solid copper wire and 1.25 mm² for stranded copper wire. TPR handles provide surface resistivity of 1×10⁶–10⁷ Ω for work around ESD-sensitive components. A coiled spring and opening-angle adjuster support repetitive operation. The model's traditional nominal size is 105 mm; the tool is not insulated for live electrical work.

Frequently asked questions

Is NS-06 a 105 mm or 112 mm tool?

105 mm is the model's nominal size, while the current ENGINEER Global page lists an overall length of 112 mm.

What can ENGINEER NS-06 cut?

ENGINEER specifies copper conductors and soft IC leads; the current Global page lists Ø1.2 mm solid copper and 1.25 mm² stranded copper.

Can NS-06 be used on live electrical circuits?

No. The handles are ESD-safe for electrostatic control in electronics, but they are not electrical insulation for live work.
