The KNIPEX Cobra 87 01 250 adjustable pliers for installers is a high-tech water pump (tongue-and-groove) plier, 250 mm long, with a self-locking device. Adjustment is made directly on the workpiece, at the touch of a button: you position the upper jaw on the piece, press the button and close the lower jaw. Ingeniously simple, with no lengthy pre-setting of the size. It is made in Germany.

The self-locking on pipes and nuts prevents it from slipping off the workpiece and requires less hand force. The teeth set against the direction of rotation, with specially hardened gripping surfaces (hardness approx. 61 HRC), provide a firm, stable grip with high wear resistance. Fine adjustment, in 25 positions, allows optimal adaptation to different sizes, with a comfortable handle position.

The box-joint design ensures high stability thanks to the double guide, and the secure holding of the hinge bolt prevents unintentional change of the setting. A special guard prevents the operator's fingers from being pinched during work. The pliers can also be adjusted with one hand.

The body is made of chrome-vanadium alloy steel, forged and multi-stage oil-hardened, with a polished head. It grips pipes up to 2 inch (50 mm) and nuts up to 46 mm. The handles have red non-slip plastic grips. Length 250 mm, weight 335 g. The 250 mm size is the most popular, an ideal compromise between capacity and handling. Also available in other lengths and versions (87 01 300, 87 01 400 XL, 87 02 250 multi-component, 87 21 250 QuickSet, 87 51 250 Extra Slim).
