FAQ

The KNIPEX Cobra ES Extra Slim 87 51 180 water pump pliers are the slim version of the famous Cobra pliers, designed specifically for tight spaces. The long, narrow jaws and very thin head provide excellent access to the workpiece where ordinary pliers will not fit: in cramped plumbing, under the hood, in automotive and in hard-to-reach industrial applications.

They keep the full functionality of the Cobra series: they self-lock on pipes and nuts, without slipping and with low effort. Adjustment is quick, with a button, directly on the workpiece, with fine adjustment for different sizes. The three-point contact ensures a firm grip on round and flat parts.

The box-joint with double guide provides stability, and the joint bolt snaps securely into place. The optimised lever effect ensures good force transfer, and the pinch guard adds safety at work. The body is chrome-vanadium steel, forged and oil-hardened in several stages, with a polished head and atramentized (burnished) body.

It is the ideal tool for plumbers, car mechanics and service technicians who often work in confined spaces. KNIPEX brand, the German pliers specialist, made in Germany.

Plumbing in tight spaces

Fittings, taps and nuts in cramped places, where standard pliers have no access.

Automotive and mechanics

Interventions in the engine bay and on narrow routes, where the thin head makes the difference.

Industrial service and maintenance

Maintenance and repairs on equipment, where access is limited.

Precision DIY

Slim, light water pump pliers for fine work and limited spaces at home.

Usage note

CAUTION! The Extra Slim model has thin jaws, optimised for access in tight spaces - respect the maximum capacity (pipes and nuts up to 32 mm / 1 1/4") and do not overload the jaws on large parts. For larger pipes and nuts, use a larger standard Cobra model. Do not use the pliers as a hammer or pry bar. The model is not VDE insulated - do not use it on live work.

Excelent. Un clește extrem de precis și comod. Mult mai bun decât varianta clasică, cel puțin in cazul strângerii presetupelor unde nu întotdeauna există spațiu pentru fălcile cleștelui. Expedierea rapidă
