The KNIPEX ErgoStrip 16 95 01 SB universal stripping tool is an ergonomic, high-tech tool that replaces several tools: with a few hand movements and without changing tool, it cuts and strips all the standard cables in a modern installation. It quickly and precisely removes the insulation of round, moisture-proof network cables (e.g. NYM 3x1.5 mm² to 5x2.5 mm²), data cables and coaxial cables. It is made in Germany.
The versatility comes from the two-shell handle design, which made it possible to integrate several functions in a body that sits extremely well in the hand. The thin, tapered heads allow space-saving stripping work in flush-mounted sockets and boxes. The markings inside the tool allow repeated, precise stripping of individual conductors and the stripping of coaxial cables.
A simple twisting movement for cutting and stripping, or a simple slit for longer lengths, and you get the desired result. Longitudinal (lengthwise) cutting of the insulation allows large sections to be removed, and deep, flush stripping in boxes leaves the minimum insulation required. The stripping device covers cross-sections of 0.2 / 0.3 / 0.8 / 1.5 / 2.5 / 4 mm², with simplified wire insertion through cutting holes of different sizes.
It has an opening spring and a locking button, and the guide in the tool head makes inserting coaxial and data cables easier. The soft plastic handle, in a multi-component design, provides comfortable use and a secure grip, and the stable glass-fibre reinforced plastic housing ensures durability.
