The ENGINEER PH-55 multi-purpose scissors (GT Tetsuwan series) is an award-winning 4-in-1 tool that combines scissors, a wire stripper, a cardboard/carpet cutter and a wire cutter in a single compact 160 mm instrument. It is the ideal tool to keep in the workshop, at the office or at home, valued by professionals and enthusiasts alike. It is made in Japan and is recommended by the Romanian Association of Electricians (AREL).
The flat blade, with micro-serrations along almost two thirds of its length, cuts cloth, cardboard and paper evenly, while the serrated area holds the object in place without slipping. One blade features a wire cutter with cutting edges for copper (max. 1.6 mm) and steel wire (max. 1.2 mm), and the other has a small cutter, handy for quickly opening cardboard boxes.
The compact body generates more shearing force, and the anti-pinch handles are designed for safe work. The blades are made of rust-resistant stainless steel, and the handles and sheath are made of PBT thermoplastic polyester: mechanically strong, abrasion-resistant and heat-resistant. The included sheath has special ventilation and drainage slots, in case it comes into contact with water or other liquids.
With an award-winning design (nominated for best design in 2012), the PH-55 easily cuts paper, corrugated cardboard, hemp or synthetic string, leather, thin aluminium foil, woody branches, packing tape and much more. Length 160 mm, weight 120 g. It shouldn't be missing from any toolbox, at home or at work.
CAUTION! Do not cut copper or steel wire on the serrated area, to preserve the life of the main blades. Do not cut heat-treated wire with the cutter, as it may damage the blades.
