The KNIPEX Slim Knips 78 61 150 is a precision cutting plier with a groundbreaking, slim and asymmetrical design, developed specifically for access into extremely confined spaces — junction boxes, electrical panels, automotive wiring or compact electronic assemblies, where a standard plier would not fit or would not offer enough visibility.
The asymmetrical handle shape allows the tool to be held either in the hand or between thumb and finger, depending on the available working space, offering excellent visibility and control over the cutting area in both cases.
Cutting is performed via a shear-cut system with a controlled micro-offset of the cutting edges, ensuring high precision even when cutting the thinnest wires, adjacent from Ø0.2mm, as well as solid copper conductors up to Ø1.3mm or fine-stranded conductors up to 4mm², without deforming or crushing the material.
Thanks to the precisely shaped tips and wide opening, the plier also efficiently manages cable ties, allowing tightening, flush cutting and removal without changing tools. The integrated opening spring reduces hand effort during repetitive use, ideal for long work sessions.
The shock-resistant plastic body protects the tool during intensive use, and the cutting edges can be locked for transport, allowing compact and safe storage in a toolbox, pocket or work bag. Also compatible with the optional KNIPEX 78 09 LE tool holster.
