The ENGINEER Neji-Saurus PZ-158 Mk-II screw extraction pliers is the tool that removes the screws no screwdriver can undo any more: screws with damaged heads, stripped drives or rust. Unlike drill-out extractors, the Neji-Saurus grips the screw head from the outside, with its vertical grooves, and turns it until it comes out. It is made in Japan and is recommended by the Romanian Association of Electricians.
The secret is in the variety of grooves on the jaws. The vertical groove, hardened to HRC60±2, bites into the side of the head and turns even fully stripped screws, and the special tip shape also grips low-head (truss) screws. In addition, the micro serrations hold fine parts firmly, the hexagonal serrations, in three sizes, grip thin round rods without slipping, and the round serrations securely grip nuts and round bars.
The PZ-158 also comes with a built-in wire cutter that cuts solid copper up to φ3.2 mm, stranded copper 8 mm², soft iron wire φ2.6 mm and even stainless steel wire φ1.6 mm. A return spring opens the pliers automatically for continuous work, and the special protective cap keeps them closed in the toolbox and shields the jaws from scratches and dirt. The Shin-grip handle, made of materials of different hardness, provides both a comfortable hold and the rigidity needed for the force required.
With a gripping capacity for screw heads from φ3 to φ9.5 mm, the PZ-158 covers most small and medium screws.
