The ENGINEER DZ-72 set is an impact (through-shank) screwdriver for removing screws with a worn or damaged head. It includes the ENGINEER DZ-70 extractor handle and a Phillips (+) #2 extractor bit, 220 mm long. The metal through-shank runs through the handle, so a hammer blow is transmitted directly to the bit tip, to drive it deep into the stripped screw head. It is recommended by the Romanian Association of Electricians (AREL).
The metal core is 10 mm in diameter and goes 32.5 mm into the handle, and the insertion port is precisely machined, reducing wobble during work. The bit is held securely with a 13 mm hex nut tightened with a wrench, so it won't slip when struck.
The DZ-70 handle is ergonomically designed: the rectangular shape gives a better grip, the body is narrowed in the middle to place the fingers safely and for quick tightening, and the rounded, ball-shaped end sits comfortably in the palm. This gives strong torque and reduces hand fatigue.
The handle accepts bits with a 6.35 mm (1/4") hex shank, recommended over 50 mm long, so you can also use other ENGINEER bits or extractors. Outer body in TPR thermoplastic rubber, inner in polypropylene, handle diameter 38 mm. Length with bit fitted 170 mm. Ideal for freeing seized screws in car and motorcycle service, construction, installations and maintenance.

How it works
Fix the extractor bit in the handle with the 13 mm nut, place the tip in the stripped screw head and strike the end of the handle with a hammer. The impact travels through the through-shank directly to the tip, biting the bit into the head. Then turn to undo the screw. For other head types, swap the bit for a suitable ENGINEER extractor (6.35 mm shank).
Recommended applications
Car and motorcycle service
Freeing seized or worn-head Phillips screws in car, motorcycle and machinery repairs.
Construction and installations
Removing damaged-head screws in construction, installation and assembly work.
Maintenance and workshop
Work on equipment where screws are seized or have a rounded head.
DIY
Home projects where you meet stripped screw heads that an ordinary screwdriver can no longer grip.
Usage note
CAUTION! Strike the handle with the hammer only along the axis, on the end intended for impact, and make sure the bit is well tightened with the 13 mm nut. Use bits with a 6.35 mm shank, at least 50 mm long.
