KNIPEX automatic stripping pliers for control and sensor cables Ø4.4-7.5 mm, two-component handle, 175 mm 12 74 180

The KNIPEX 12 74 180 automatic stripping pliers are designed for quick, clean removal of the sheath from flexible cables with an outer diameter of 4.4 to 7.5 mm: flexible supply and extension cables, control cables and sensor/actuator cables, common in automation, control cabinets and industrial installations.

The tool adjusts automatically to the diameter of the inserted cable, so no setting is needed before each cut. The blades cut only the sheath, without damaging the conductors inside or the shielding braid — an important advantage with shielded signal and control cables.

The pliers are suitable for highly flexible sheath materials such as TPE-U, PUR, PVC and rubber, including oil-resistant and halogen-free cables. Because the cable can be pushed through the tool, longer stripping lengths are also possible.

The ergonomic two-component handle with soft-grip zone ensures maximum force transmission and low-effort work, while the smooth-running mechanism reduces hand fatigue in repetitive use. When the blades wear, the blade unit is changed quickly; the spare blade set is 12 74 180 E01.

Quality in every detail

Sometimes we are really hard on our tools. We try to destroy them to find out what makes them good and long-lasting. Because we do not want to leave anything to chance, we take a long, careful look.

The materials used by KNIPEX are precisely selected and tested, guaranteeing optimum performance and a long service life — even if this requires special production and costs a little more. Our high product standards demand it.

The automatic adjustment mechanism and the blade unit are designed for repeated, clean stripping that is safe for the conductors — just as precise on the first cable as after thousands of uses in the workshop or on site.
