Adhesive tape

is a combination of a support material (cellophane) and an adhesive film, usually delivered to the roller and used to bind or bond objects together, instead of using other fasteners (staples, screws or glue bars).

Applying adhesive strips instead of mechanical fasteners allows to use them at normal temperatures, and this can simplify the packaging process.
